Genus Pseudocucurbitella

Shell is agglutinated, ovoid, cross section is round. Aperture is circular, surrounded with 3–5 separate lobes forming a short collar. Ecology: freshwater. Type species: Pseudocucurbitella subangelica Gauthier-Lièvre & Thomas, 1960. Note: The taxonomic status of the genus is unclear. Probably it has affinities to lobed Difflugia as well as to the genus Cucurbitella.
