Shell is acrostome, covered by two types of idiosomes. Large elongate idiosomes are thickened in the middle that gives tuberculated view to the shell. Small elongate idiosomes fill the gaps between the larger ones. Aperture is circular, with a collar turned up and outside, surrounded by small elongated plates with a single tooth. Monospecific. Ecology: soil. Type species: Pileolus tuberosus Coûteaux et Chardez, 1981
