Cells usually pyriform or ovoid, 6–7 µm long, 4–5 µm broad, with one contractile and several food vacuoles, the front end unequally protruded and continually altering in shape, the longer flagellum about 2.3–3 times as long as the body, the shorter half the length of the latter.
