Описание:

Cells are 42–47 μm long, 33–36 μm wide. This species has a large curving epicone when seen in lateral view. Cells are ellipsoidal to oblong in right lateral view, laterally compressed. The cingulum has its origin towards the dorsal side of the cell, and then tilts downwards, with the distal end about 1 cingular width higher than the proximal end. The sulcus is initially narrow, then widens towards the posterior of the cell and becomes relatively deep (about 12 μm). An apical groove is present, arising from the junction of the cingulum and sulcus. A row of large (5–6 μm) extrusomes is present in the posterior end of the cell. The longitudinal flagellum arises in the sulcus. The nucleus is 7–8 μm diameter, in the middle of the hypocone. Plastids are absent.
